In April-May, 2020, for the management of SAKPATENTI, it became known that the Head of Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Designs Department, Irakli Kasradze, had under examination process the trademark applications mentioned in TV broadcast. The actions of the Head of the Department pertaining the registration process raised questions about the possible use of the registration process of these trademarks for political purposes.
